So I call adobe... They insist that Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard does not support the 3D feature. And no support is provided for the reader whatsoever. Adobe support suggested I uninstall/reinstall the software. I did this, and was able to open the Microstation generated 3D PDF file.. UNTIL (the idiot I am) I ran the update... upon which the error returned.
We have similar problem to Phantom, and we too have previously generated PDF's that are not useable du e to this error.. My wrath again lies with Adobe... Whom obviously do not want to concede that the problem lies with them. Any other software provider would have acknowledged a problem, and the first response one should see when searching adobe's forum is something along the lines of...

I am getting the above message whenever I try to download/open a pdf file from the internet. It started suddenly; it had been working fine before. I am on a Mac Pro using OS 10.5.8 and Adobe Reader 9.3.0. I downloaded the latest Reader and I also changed a preference several times after making sure "Display PDF in browser using..." was checked. I have Acrobat Pro 8.0 and Reader 9.2, 9.0 and 9.3. I tried all of them. Does anyone happen to know why my Reader thinks it's printing something? There's nothing in the cue. Maybe I need to clear it but I don't know how.
Adobe offers 2 general flavors of the install file (both free to use). The standard one for normal users and an enterprise package for system administrators.There are NO third party (or Adobe) add-ons if you download the enterprise version from their distribution center.
Relevant info about updating/patching Adobe Reader 10 at adobe.com. Note that the update MSP file for Reader 10 includes all previous patches for that 10.x version, so one for 10.0.3 will update a 10.0.0 installation. Installing it this way means that an MST file need only be created for each 10.x version.
Patch 9.3.4 can be downloaded from _all_incr.msp. However in order to update from 9.3.0 to 9.3.4, first 9.3.2 and 9.3.3 must be installed. These can be downloaded from _all_incr.msp and _all_incr.msp.
Hi All! I was installing Adobe Reader 9.3 when it was almost done this Error: 1935 just went up. What causes this? I tried downloading another installer but still. Is it the download source that has the problems?
When reader uninstalls it wants to exit with a restart, this would make it successful. It might be easier to just deploy Reader 9.3 since it should remove reader 8 from the machine if I recall correctly. Or simply change the collection of Reader 8 machines to say if you have Reader 8 then popuplate, then reader 9 will install, error or not. Then when it inventories it will be pulled from the collection and you don't have to worry about it. Assuming the install is working correctly for you.

Since firefox is regularly restarted anyway, why not simply download the new plugins (or ask) and then do nothing until the next firefox session is started either later the same day or even tomorrow? Firefox shouldn't even ask for it.
